Grey County is working with community partners to conduct a one-day survey for individuals experiencing homelessness in the county. Staff and volunteers will be available at various hub sites to meet with individuals. The information provided will help the County better understand the current scope of homelessness in the area and data will be used to inform future decisions around needed supports and services.
Anyone experiencing homelessness is asked to complete the survey by visiting one of multiple hub sites located around the County on Monday October 18. The survey can also be completed by phone by calling 516-376-5744.
Hub sites include:
Grey County Administration Building (595 9th Ave East, Owen Sound),
Safe N’ Sound (310 8th St E, Owen Sound),
OSHaRE (946 3rd Ave East, Owen Sound),
the Erskine Centre (90 Artemesia Street South, Dundalk),
South East Grey Community Health Centre (55 Victoria Avenue, Markdale),
Beaver Valley Outreach (54 King Street East, Thornbury),
Durham Ontario Works Satellite Office (575 Saddler Street East, Durham,

All participants will receive a gift card as thanks for supporting the survey. Volunteers will also be available at hub sites to inform those in need of available supports in the region.
Information collected will remain anonymous. The Province requires all municipal housing and homelessness service providers to conduct this survey..
