
Toronto Caribbean Carnival Brings the Heat to Blue Mountain with Caribbean Winterfest and DeFrost Party, Fri Dec 5 - Sun Dec 7
The Toronto Caribbean Carnival is taking its vibrant celebration of Caribbean culture to the mountains this winter with the return of the Caribbean Winterfest, a three-day festival of music, live performances, costumes and tropical flavour set in a magical snowy wonderland. This festival, introduced in 2024, brings Caribbean culture to new locations in Ontario.
This year, the festivities are hotter than ever with the new Winter DeFrost Party at Rusty’s at Blue.
Produced by the Festival Management Committee (FMC), the organizers of the Toronto Caribbean Carnival, Caribbean Winterfest carries the organization’s mission, diversity & culture live here, beyond Toronto, bringing the rhythm and spirit of Carnival to new communities across Ontario.
Back for a second year, Caribbean Winterfest brings the warmth of the islands to the frosty mountains of Grey County, Ontario. The festival offers a full lineup of live bands, DJ sets, steelpan, calypso, and soca performances, dazzling costume displays, dance parties and marketplace full of holiday specialties. Family friendly activities include, kids costume making workshop, drumming circles, and special treats. Guests can enjoy winter activities by day, then dance into the night surrounded by the sights, sounds and energy of Carnival culture. This unique winter experience celebrates community, creativity and connection, a joyful fusion of Canadian winter and Caribbean soul.
DeFrost Party – Rusty’s @ Blue
On Saturday, December 6, the celebration continues under the stars and holiday lights, with the Blue Mountain DeFrost Party, an electrifying event that blends the sounds of the Caribbean with glow lights, live performances and the energy of a Toronto Carnival fête.The DeFrost Party promises to be a high-energy winter bash like no other. Live performances by Anika Berry, Maestre and Friends Live Parang Band, Ossie Gurley and the Truth, and DJ sets by Dr. Jay de Soca Prince, DJ Menace, and Greenz Connection.
