Penalties for Non-Compliance with Lobbyist Registry Now in Effect Following Conclusion of Grace Period
The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to advise members of the public that enforcement of penalties for undisclosed lobbying activities and non-compliance with the Town’s Lobbyist Registry come into effect on Monday, May 12, 2025.
Town Partners with peopleCare to Deliver Much-Needed Long-Term Care
The Town of The Blue Mountains is pleased to announce a significant partnership with peopleCare Communities to enable the development of a new long-term care (LTC) home in the Craigleith area on a section of the former Tee’s Please property.
Mayor Matrosovs Responds to Strong Mayor Powers
The Town of The Blue Mountains acknowledges the Province of Ontario's expansion of Strong Mayor Powers that came into effect on May 1, 2025. Town staff have been working with the Mayor to understand the scope of the powers and to learn about the impacts of the changes.
Official Plan Review
The final modifications have now been completed and are scheduled to be presented to Council for final decision at the May 12, 2025, Council Meeting.

The Town would like to provide an update regarding the weekend weather event and the forecasted conditions for Wednesday, April 2. Crews have been working to restore power, open roads and clear debris throughout the municipality and are preparing for additional precipitation. In the event of an emergency, please dial 9-1-1.

Resignation of Chief Administrative Officer Shawn Everitt
The Town of The Blue Mountains would like to notify the public that Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Shawn Everitt has resigned from his position, effective immediately, and will be joining the Municipality of Meaford as the new CAO beginning April 8, 2025.
2024 Public Salary Disclosure for the Town
In accordance with the Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996, The Town of The Blue Mountains has disclosed and submitted the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more during the 2024 calendar year to the Ministry of Finance.
