BVOChallenge2020 - $20,000 Goal

Spearheaded by Georgian Peaks ski athletes have currently raised $15,000.

BVOChallenge2020  -  $20,000 Goal

They now have a matching donor up to the $20k so NOW is the time to donate if you would like to support this initiative as funds are matched dollar for dollar!


The idea was initiated by Duncan Armstrong, a 15-year-old skier at the Peaks, but made a reality when nearly 30 teammates stepped up to participate and raise money for the Beaver Valley Outreach.

The athletes wanted to give back to the community and do their part when they heard the BVO needed help due to the temporary closure of its thrift shop. Athletes have taken on individual and team challenges such as weight lifting, running, planking as well as skate-a-thons and surf-a-thons to raise money.

While the athletes have raised nearly $10k to date, their goal is $20k so they would appreciate any donations to

A few of the 20 Day Challenges include:  

 Zoe, Liv, Jacob, Andrew and Zoe surfed 20km.

200 box jumps for 20 days by Brody.

Katja will be running 5km a day.

Tristan hosted a skateboarding-a-thon.

200 burpees a day by Erica.

20 minutes of planking by Safia.

Beau will be running 2km a day.  

Jasper will be running a total of 70km.

Amaris, 20,000 steps a day.  

Kylie - 2 hrs of exercise a day.

200 pushups a day by Tadas.
