Leachate Management Environmental Assessment

A Study on:

Managing the Liquid from Landfilled Garbage

Leachate is a liquid substance that is generated in landfills.  Leachate is a combination of rain water and liquids from the landfilled garbage.  This liquid requires on-going treatment.  Currently the Town is trucking this material to the Town's wastewater treatment plant.  The Town is conducting a study to find the most sustainable and practical method of managing leachate generated at the Town Disposal Site.
