Picture and Words Writing Contest

Saturday, May 23, 2020
Location: The Blue Mountains Public Library

The Blue Mountains Public Library is hosting a digital creative writing and visual art contest, Pictures and Words.

What's the criteria?

The creative writing must be an original story or poem or comic with a maximum of 1000 words, and must be submitted with a visual piece of art.

This Contest runs from April 17th - May 31st

There are 5 age categories: Ages 0-5 years Ages 6-10 years Ages 11-14 years Ages 15-18 years Ages 18+

We have some AMAZING prizes lined up. In an effort to support our local small businesses, the Library has purchased digital gift cards from some cool spots, including Good Grief, Thornbury Bakery, Imagination Studio, Jessica's Book Nook, Lemonade Collective, and Bruce Wine Bar.

The winning pieces will be posted on our website and will also be featured in a Biblioboard exhibit.

Please send entries, via email to libraryprograms@thebluemountains.ca. You can also submit using our social media pages Facebook @thebluemountainslibrary or Instagram @bmplibrary. Submissions can be sent as photos or documents.
